Can't Fight The Moonlight

Kicking off Handsome Gents week here at Ten Paces and Draw, we had an unlikely illustrator pairing of Michael Hoeweler (who supplied this gorgeous moonlit boy sketch) and Mary Kate McDevitt (who took it to final). Awesome hustle, you guys!

Returning guest Chris Hajny created this hunky lineup that newcomer Kate Haberer brought to life in such a delicious color palette!

Brocade Brigade

Kate Haberer also sketched this rather smarmy fellow swilling his libation by the fire. And Rachel Dougherty painted it...plus a rather creepy cat. Swell!

Handsome Holsters and Handlebars

This fantastic Cowboy Biker sketch was created by Tina Sweep, and finished elegantly by Michael Hoeweler!

Michael Hoeweler is from a small, rural-yet-suburban area outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. He left the cornfields and bucolic landscape behind for Baltimore, Maryland, where he graduated with a BFA in illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art. The eastern seashore has treated him well, and he's made his way up from Baltimore to New York City, where he currently lives and works. His interests lie in art and design, fashion, music, culture, social theory and the great American landscape.

See Michael's website, blog, and tumblr!

For the Love of Roger

This week afforded Rachel Dougherty the ability to sketch her ideal man, and Tina Sweep nailed it hard! This is some reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff!
