Farm Fresh

A late entry for today's farm offerings - second time contributor Rand Renfrow took on the darling sketch from Erica Sirotich for this farm table still life.

Farmer's Tan

Jesse Riggle and Paul Windle worked together this week to bring new meaning to the term "Farmer's Tan". Jesse took on Paul's sketch for this beastly final. More about Jesse, and the original sketch below!

Jesse Riggle is a Brooklyn based illustrator who sometimes has a beard and sometimes doesn't. At a young age he had to make a decision between playing with insects his whole life or making pictures. He chose the latter. Now when people ask him what he does, he lovingly responds, “I paint lumpy people.” He works mostly with acrylics these days, although he does his share of digital, Illustrator and Painter mainly. Visit his website, and blog for more of his awesome work!

Words to Eat by

For this piece Paul Windle went to final on guest illustrator Paige Vicker's farm sentiment sketch. Although it deviates from the original sketch, I think Paul found a good solution for these "words to eat by".

Old Man McDonald

This week we added another new contributor, Jesse Riggle, into the mix. Rachel Dougherty had the honor of taking on his sketch for this super grumpy farmer final. I'm pretty sure he sits on his porch with a rifle just waiting for stray rodents, deer, or kids to wander onto his property.

Old McDonald's Farm

For this farm piece Erica Sirotich completed this animal filled sketch from Rachel Dougherty. Surprisingly this is the only final piece abundant in animals for this week's farm theme - but I think both girls did these critters justice! See the sketch below.

Bountiful Crops

Starting off this week Alyssa Nassner took on the sketch of Rand Renfrow to create this jolly farmer. He has a bounty of home grown veggies for you to take home and enjoy! See the original sketch below, and as a special treat I've included a time lapse video of the coloring process if you're interested in how this farmer man came to be so bright and colorful!

If you are interested in Alyssa's coloring process feel free to watch this short video (and don't forget to enjoy the farmy music courtesy of iMovie) Enjoy!
