Carnivores Inspiration: Jerry Pinkney

As soon carnivores hit the table, I could only think of the incomparable hometown hero (he's from Germantown!) Jerry Pinkney. You might have heard about him winning the Caldecott in 2010 for his gorgeous wordless take on Aesop's Lion and The Mouse. Or you know, you might have heard about his five other Caldecott honors books, or any of the other prestigious awards that likely litter the floor of his studio like they ain't no thang. Basically, Pinkney is is a giant in the world of children's illustration. And what does he do better than stunningly rendered animals?
