With this week's hunky-man theme, we'd be remiss not to mention Charlie Allen. A mid-century California advertising powerhouse, Allen's body of work is massive, evolving over the years to reflect the times. No matter how much the work changed, there's never any doubt that the man's just sickeningly talented. I'm partial to his work from the 50's, but it's all just mind-blowing. A retrospective showing of his would be the greatest art show ever. Anyway, you can see above a billboard he did in the 1950s for chevron!
